The interest will be on the concept referred to as the subjective right. Therefore, it will be necessary to understand briefly, in the first place, Ockham's academic writings, specifically Ockham's rigorous logic programme that allows then, afterwards, to indicate some of the extensive and complexity of his theological and political writings. Point to consider is if exists, besides the political circumstances of the XIV century, a genuine political theory in Ockham. The fact to stress is that Ockham's political work is disperse among speculative works and represents a problem for the scholars interested in studying the relations between Ockham's academic and political writings. ![]() The article presents an aspect of the political and legal thought of the philosopher William of Ockham as the development of the process of conceptual determination.
